Wooden tripods have high damping properties and are almost neutral when exposed to sunlight. This makes wooden tripods suitable for stationing surveying instruments (theodolites, tachymeters, motorized robotic stations) and for measurements with high and extremely high accuracy requirements. A special oil treatment prevents water from penetrating, thus significantly reducing the resulting swelling of the wood. This tripod is equipped with a triangular head plate. The self-locking mechanism secures the tripod legs when carried and transported and prevents them from accidentally unfolding, thus efficiently preventing transport damage and injuries.
All fittings (head plate, leg caps, clamping unit, step shoe) are anodized in bright red for high visibility.
